HeyMax is a rewards platform that lets you earn Max Miles on spending you may already be doing — such as online shopping, travel bookings, vouchers and selected partner offers.

The main idea is simple:

Start your purchase through HeyMax → complete the eligible transaction → earn Max Miles on top of the purchase.

You do not need a credit card to start using HeyMax. Depending on the offer or purchase method, you may be able to use PayNow or other supported payment methods and still earn Max Miles.

However, using an eligible credit card can sometimes be even more rewarding because you may earn both HeyMax Max Miles and your credit card’s own rewards on the same purchase.

Last updated: 9 September 2026. HeyMax merchant availability, earning rates, promotions and eligibility rules can change frequently. Always check the live rate and terms shown in the HeyMax app before making a purchase.

How Do You Earn Max Miles?

There are several ways to earn Max Miles, but the easiest way to understand HeyMax is through shopping and vouchers.

1. Shop Through HeyMax

For many online merchants, the process is straightforward:

Open HeyMax → Find the merchant → Tap “Shop & Earn Miles” → Complete the eligible purchase → Max Miles track in your account

HeyMax says it currently works with 500+ partner brands.

For normal Shop & Earn purchases, miles may not appear immediately. They usually first appear as Pending and are later approved after the merchant confirms the transaction.

Important: Do not simply open the merchant separately and expect HeyMax to know about the purchase. Start through HeyMax so the transaction can be tracked.

PayNow vs Credit Card

You do not need a credit card to benefit from HeyMax.

The difference is mainly whether you can also earn a second layer of rewards from your payment card.

Payment MethodHeyMax Max MilesSeparate Credit-Card Rewards
PayNowPossible where the HeyMax offer/payment flow is eligible❌ No credit-card rewards
Credit CardPossible where the purchase is eligible✅ Potentially, depending on the card’s reward rules

For example, imagine an eligible purchase earns:

3 Max Miles per $1 from HeyMax

and the credit card you use separately earns:

1.2 miles per $1

On a $100 purchase:

  • HeyMax: 300 Max Miles
  • Credit card: 120 card miles
  • Total rewards earned across both systems: 420 miles

This is sometimes called stacking rewards.

The exact rates above are only an example. HeyMax rates and credit-card earn rates vary, and card issuers may exclude certain transactions.

You do not need to change where you shop just to use HeyMax.

A better approach is to check whether a merchant you were already planning to use is available on HeyMax first.

Rates are intentionally not listed here because they can change by merchant, product, campaign and even purchase category.

Always treat the rate shown inside the HeyMax app as the current reference.

Shopee and Lazada Work Slightly Differently

Shopee and Lazada can use an additional product-link eligibility check.

Rather than assuming every item qualifies, you can copy the product URL and let HeyMax check the item before you buy.

Copy the product URL → Paste it into HeyMax → Check eligibility and the Max Miles rate → Tap Shop Now

How to use the Shopee URL method in HeyMax

This matters because not every product necessarily earns Max Miles.

HeyMax can show whether the item is eligible and the current earning rate before you continue.

Useful habit: For Shopee or Lazada, check the individual product rather than assuming the whole platform earns at the same rate.

Buying Vouchers Through HeyMax

Another useful feature is the ability to buy selected vouchers and gift cards through HeyMax.

This can be useful for everyday spending such as:

  • Grab
  • foodpanda
  • Other participating brands

HeyMax currently states that Max Miles from voucher purchases are generally confirmed instantly.

If you pay for an eligible voucher with a credit card, you may also earn your card issuer’s own points or miles, subject to the card’s rules.

This can create a useful two-layer reward setup:

Buy an eligible voucher through HeyMax → Earn Max Miles + potential credit-card rewards → Use the voucher later

Always check:

  • Voucher expiry
  • Whether unused value is forfeited
  • Whether it can be combined with promotions
  • Whether it can be split into smaller denominations
  • The specific brand’s redemption conditions

Card Maximiser: Track Your Credit Cards Inside HeyMax

One of HeyMax’s newer features is Card Maximiser.

Instead of manually remembering how much you have spent on each card, you can link supported cards to HeyMax and use the app as a credit-card spending and rewards tracker.

For Singapore users, HeyMax currently supports transaction tracking for almost all Singapore-issued Visa cards.

For selected supported miles cards, Card Maximiser can also track things such as:

  • Transactions
  • Total spending
  • Credit-card points or miles earned
  • Bonus-category spending
  • Progress toward bonus caps
  • Progress toward minimum-spend requirements

This is especially useful if you use several rewards cards and normally track their monthly caps manually.

Important: Rewards shown inside Card Maximiser are your bank or credit-card rewards, not Max Miles. HeyMax is helping you track them; the bank is still the one issuing those rewards.

Max AI

HeyMax is also rolling out Max, an AI assistant inside the app.

It can help answer questions such as:

  • “How much did I spend this month?”
  • “How close am I to my card’s bonus cap?”
  • “Which card is better for this type of purchase?”
  • “How many rewards did I earn?”

When linked-card transaction data is available, Max can use your actual spending to provide more personalised answers.

How HeyMax Purchase Tracking Works

For ordinary Shop & Earn transactions, the journey generally looks like:

Purchase completed → Pending Max Miles → Merchant verification → Approved / Available Max Miles

HeyMax says tracking commonly appears within around 3 days, although the timing varies by merchant.

Merchant approval can take significantly longer and may take up to around 90 days depending on the partner.

This delay exists because the merchant needs to confirm that:

  • The transaction was completed
  • It was not refunded
  • It met the merchant’s eligibility conditions

Avoid Breaking the Tracking

One of the most important parts of using HeyMax is allowing the merchant tracking link to work correctly.

Do

  • Start your purchase through HeyMax
  • Read the merchant’s terms before buying
  • Complete the purchase through the redirected session
  • Check that the product/category is eligible
  • Check your Pending Max Miles afterwards

Avoid

  • Opening another cashback or affiliate link after HeyMax
  • Activating another cashback extension during the purchase
  • Switching to a different tracking link
  • Using incognito/private browsing when the merchant requires normal tracking cookies
  • Assuming every item at the same merchant qualifies

Using another cashback platform after clicking through HeyMax can overwrite the tracking attribution and cause your Max Miles to fail.

What Can You Do With Max Miles?

Max Miles can be used in several ways, including:

  • Transfer to participating airline loyalty programmes
  • Transfer to participating hotel programmes
  • Redeem toward flight purchases
  • Redeem selected gift cards and vouchers

HeyMax states that Max Miles do not expire as long as your account remains active.

An active account currently means logging into the HeyMax website or app at least once every 12 months.

This can make Max Miles useful as a flexible rewards balance while you decide where you eventually want to redeem them.

How I Would Use HeyMax

My approach is deliberately simple:

Before Buying Something Online

Search the merchant on HeyMax first.

If the price is the same and the purchase is eligible, I would rather earn additional Max Miles than receive nothing.

Before Booking a Trip

Check merchants such as:

  • Trip.com
  • Booking.com
  • Klook
  • Airlines available through HeyMax

and compare the final price before booking.

For Everyday Spending

Check whether a useful voucher is available for something you already spend money on, such as Grab or food delivery.

If You Have Credit Cards

Consider linking supported Visa cards to Card Maximiser so you can track spending and rewards in one place.

The goal is not to spend more.

HeyMax works best when it gives you extra rewards on spending you were already going to make.
